Privacy
Forge isn't a company. It's a hobby project run by a small group of Wonders of the First players, in our spare time, because we wanted it to exist.
This page explains in plain words what Forge keeps about you, who can see it, and how long it stays. It's here so you know what happens to your information. It isn't a legal agreement.
What Forge keeps
- Your account: your email address, whether you sign in with Discord (Discord shares it with us) or with email. Your name and picture from Discord, your username and display name, and the time zone your browser reports.
- Your email is used to sign you in and, if you choose, to tell you when a trade needs you. It's never shown to other members.
- What you put in: your collection, boxes and decks, trades, Market listings, ownership claims, and anything you upload, like card pictures.
- Sign-in and safety records: when you last signed in, and a log of account actions such as a trading suspension.
Who sees what
- Trades are private to the two people in them. Only your count of confirmed trades and disputes is public.
- Market listings: anyone can see the card and its terms. Only signed-in members see your name, the price and your note. Search engines never do.
- Boxes and decks are private unless you share them with members or by link.
- Admins can see who traded with whom and when, to stop abuse. Never what was traded, the prices or any notes.
Notes on a trade
Notes between you are deleted when the trade ends. Your private note stays with the trade, and only you can read it. Our database backups keep a copy of deleted things for up to 14 days, then it's gone.
Services Forge uses
- Amazon Web Services: hosting, the database, file storage and email.
- Discord: signing in.
- Anthropic: reads the photos you send with the Spark photo import, to name the cards. Forge doesn't keep those photos.
- GitHub: holds the feedback you send, in a private place only we can see.
No ads, no analytics or tracking scripts, and we don't sell anything about you.
Cookies
Two. One keeps you signed in. The other remembers your time zone so dates read right.
Deleting your account
Ask us through Feedback and we'll delete your account and everything in it. The other person's side of a trade you were in stays, since it's their record too.
